Power up workforce productivity with WXP—the platform that reduces digital friction to enhance employee experiences.

We’re excited to announce that the global rollout of HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) has begun. Building on the success of last year’s early access program, WXP has already grown to 781,000+ connected devices, leveraging intelligence from HP’s vast global data ecosystem. Our AI models learn from telemetry data across 24 million endpoints, processing 700GB of new data daily into our 4-petabyte intelligence engine.

Every month, HP’s software and services remediate over 11 million IT issues – keeping employees productive and IT teams focused on strategic initiatives. This intelligence advantage allows WXP to deliver proactive solutions that help prevent disruptions before they impact productivity.

In today's IT landscape, simply selling devices is insufficient; we need a unified approach that encompasses hardware and software to deliver the experience that employees expect. HP is evolving beyond being just a hardware company. We are shaping the future of work, which requires us to be both a hardware and software company. WXP serves the hardware, not the other way around. Our growing presence in the DEX space significantly contributes to the growth of our core hardware business. - Faisal Masud, SVP & Division President of HP Digital Services

WXP Moves HP from Device-Centric Support to Employee-Centric Digital Employee Experience

With WXP, HP is redefining how organizations manage and optimize the end-to-end workforce experience, putting us at the forefront of the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) space. It reflects our shift from being a trusted device provider to a SaaS innovator—a critical step in HP’s transformation journey into the Future of Work.

We’re on the cusp of an AI revolution that promises to vastly accelerate productivity, but for this vision to become a reality, we need to first fix what’s broken. Employees are struggling with an explosion of new devices and services, and IT teams can’t keep up. Two-thirds of employees report experiencing friction when using digital technologies (Gartner, Hype Cycle for Hybrid Work), and only half say they feel fully supported by their IT service desk, (Forrester, The State Of The Service Desk). Employees and IT teams alike are burned out.

For customers, this platform simplifies everything," said Masud. "Instead of stitching together tools from different vendors, they get a single platform with a unified view across their entire fleet—PCs, printers, collaboration devices, virtual desktops, and apps like Zoom and Teams. No matter where the tech comes from, HP supports it all.

Employees perform at their best when technology disappears into the background. This only happens when IT has the right tools to manage the complexity of the new digital ecosystem. By addressing technology issues proactively, IT can reduce friction, improve security, and better serve the company by making employees productive and fulfilled again.

WXP is designed to address technology issues proactively by providing IT with powerful insights that help empower employees to thrive at the intersection of work and life. It draws on billions of data points to intelligently anticipate problems, removing friction for employees and reducing the never-ending firehose of IT requests.

Notable Enhancements for a Personalized, Seamless Experience

Over the past several months, HP has continued to drive the evolution of WXP with powerful capabilities that automate tasks and make it more natural and intuitive to manage the employee experience. Notable enhancements include:

  • AI Sentiment Analysis: Now includes AI capabilities to assess and improve employee experience by analyzing sentiment data. The tool can analyze and provide summaries of sentiment based on thousands of free text survey responses from employees, uncovering recurring themes for IT to prioritize. So, if employee sentiment starts to drop, IT managers can spot the trend quickly and address the issue proactively.
  • Fleet ExplorerThis new AI-powered natural language processing (NLP) tool lets users query fleet data instantly for insights. Instead of spending hours or days digging through reports, IT managers can ask a question and get quick answers to critical questions. For example, high memory utilization often leads to poor PC performance. So, an IT manager could start by asking, “which devices experienced the most memory over-utilization in the past 30 days?”  And then based on the results, remediate the problem before it becomes an issue for employees.
  • Vyopta Integration: HP and Vyopta customers can now check on the overall health of their organization’s collaboration environment (video and telephone endpoints as well as collaboration software) in WXP. This integration delivers users valuable insights into collaboration infrastructure usage, adoption and performance to inform strategic decisions, and user satisfaction.
  • HP has created pre-built scripts, alerts and dashboards that help organizations monitor fleets, automate workflows, and deliver strategic insights to optimize performance and improve IT efficiency.
  • Digital Workspaces powered by HP Anyware: Extend fleet visibility to HP Anyware remote or virtual desktops for a full view of your hybrid workforce from within WXP. This integration enables IT managers to easily provision and deploy remote desktops, as well as use remote desktop telemetry to optimize performance. HP Anyware provides users with secured, VPN-free access to company assets, from wherever they are located.
  • Protect and Trace with Wolf Connect: Find, lock, and erase a PC, even if it’s turned off! This integration allows IT to solve asset management and data security challenges with this unique capability – an HP exclusive.

Enabling Channel Partners to Diversify and Transition to Services-Centric Businesses

Digitization and workflow automation represent key growth areas for partners.  WXP makes the start-up investment for partners to get into the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) space easy. With WXP, HP partners can diversify into new businesses and acquire new customers, moving to a contractual, services-centric business model.

Once partners secure their WXP Sell and Manage Certification, they will get access to a partner view that includes a business management dedicated dashboard section, brand and communication customization, reporting and trends, and multi-tenancy navigation. With multi-tenancy navigation, partners can select a customer and drill down into the customer view to perform specific actions such as running remediations, managing devices, and sending pulse surveys. For remediations, partners can choose to use the HP script gallery for pre-built scripts or create their own. Visit our partner page to get started.

Frequently asked questions

Here's everything you need to know about WXP.

What is the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP)?

WXP is an AI-powered digital employee experience (DEX) solution that integrates with various systems and devices to maximize IT efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the employee experience.1

How does WXP work?

WXP equips technology leaders with detailed performance insights of PCs, printers and more, coupled with enhanced preventative workflows to maximize end-user productivity while reducing costs. The SaaS-based platform also has an advanced employee engagement engine and integrates with various third-party systems like ServiceNow, PowerBI, and Tableau, along with integrating printers, virtual desktops, mobile devices and more to maximize IT efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the employee experience.

Can WXP be customized to fit specific business needs?

The platform’s modular design allows for tailored customization and scalability to meet specific business needs. Presently, WXP integrates capabilities for fleet management (formerly HP Proactive Insights) and employee engagement, facilitating direct communication between IT and employees, and targeted feedback collection via device pop-ups and self-help capabilities. Planned optional, add-on modules will include additional devices for fleet management, endpoint security, and Digital Workspaces powered by HP Anyware, all supported by enterprise-level support. Additionally, there are add-on options for hardware, managed services, and print software.

How is WXP modular?

WXP is designed to be modular, allowing organizations to tailor the solution to their specific needs, including Fleet Management, Employee Engagement, Digital Workspaces, and Endpoint Security.

The modular design allows companies to select the capabilities needed to achieve business goals. New capabilities can be added to an existing portal as their business needs change and expand. Initially, WXP comes with fleet management and employee engagement, with the ability to add-on endpoint security, digital workplaces, and/or HP support services for an additional fee.

Is WXP compatible with different vendors and operating systems?

The Platform’s agnostic design allows seamless integration with systems and devices running Windows, macOS, and Android operating systems, regardless of manufacturer. WXP is a cloud-based solution that uses firewall-friendly network ports and sits atop other systems versus a rip-and-replace solution. It does not require a VPN or direct, deep access to customer networks.

How does WXP integrate with other IT tools to provide a more comprehensive solution?

WXP has open APIs for incident and analytics integration to IT tools, as well as pre-configured connectors for ServiceNow, PowerBI, and Tableau available in the 3rd party integrations.

What is a Workforce Experience score?

A Workforce Experience score combines telemetry and user satisfaction sentiment for a comprehensive view of the digital workforce experience. The score refreshes daily, ensuring timely insights. Understand which departments, device models, operating systems, countries, site locations, and devices with specific software installed are experiencing the lowest and highest Experience scores.

The main dashboard provides a snapshot of the workforce experience and critical recommendations for IT teams to act on. IT teams quickly understand where to focus with insights from the Experience score and trendline, fleet inventory breakdown, apps with poor performance, and sentiment by persona.

How is AI used within WXP?

AI is built into the fabric of WXP and makes it easy for IT teams to optimize processes and prevent technology issues by providing:

  • Recommendations: Identify issues from device data and survey results to share recommended actions.
  • Assistance: Take the recommendation and make it executable by IT or an end-user in just a few clicks.
  • Automation: Experience optimization with AI anticipating issues and resolving them with no human involvement.

How can I buy WXP and find out about new releases?
